The Basics Two-year policy fellowship with rotations on the Hill, at a government agency, and at the AACR Proposed rotation schedule: Applications close February 20, 2019 at 11:59 pm (ET) More information at AACR.org/PolicyFellowship 2 months (July – August) AACR Office of Science Policy and Government Affairs 8 months (September – April) Congressional office and/or committee involved in cancer research-related policy issues 4 months (May – August) National Cancer Institute or U.S. Food and Drug Administration 10 months (September – June) AACR Office of Science Policy and Government Affairs & various departments at AACR headquarters

5 Intended for early-career cancer research professionals
Eligibility Intended for early-career cancer research professionals “Early-career” = received terminal degree within the past 5 years or will have completed degree prior to starting fellowship (July 2019) “Cancer research professional” = postdoc, clinical fellow, medical resident, late-stage graduate student whose work is pertinent to the mission of the AACR Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (U.S. citizens or permanent residents) Interest in committing to a career in science policy Must be an AACR member before starting fellowship
