1 Building and infrastructure management
Faculteit Letteren Building and infrastructure management

2 BOP Ivo Jossart - gebouw- en infrastructuurbeheerder. (building and infrastructure management) +/- 20% IT-task: network and server-management: +/- 80%

3 Building and infrastructure management
Responsible for management, maintenance and exploitation of buildings and infrastructure -> fac. of arts (it’s some kind of delegation from central management).

4 Function of BOP (VGM/HSE)
I’m the 2nd level support – for problems in the building(s) (you may also contact the Administrative coordinator – ask the reception desk). outside Erasmushuis -> building-manager – ask first – in case it’s needed you can get it touch with me. It’s not a strict rule. We maintain contacts with Technical services for normal larger problems (support in levels). Emergency Numbers – emergency (in Leuven) – it’s on your phone. Learn this number! (never call other emergency-numbers within KULeuven buildings). 22000 for normal requests outside office hours (when there’s no secretary – in case of doubt ask me – in case of a small problem mail the secretary – she’ll mail us when it’s needed). Security instructions are important.

5 Point of attention Member of EIP (fire+danger)
VGM-reception, management and coordination – with the administrative coordinators of your OE. Management of the night-entrance-door (and parking's – we can ask, we have no decision powers – rules are published online). Closure plan (e.g. emergency exits) + signs Security – exchange of information.

6 Points of attention (2) Logistics
Garbage – the garbage zone (-1 C-wing - exit) What to throw away where? Paper in red box Normal garbage into the bin. Fruits/vegetables – and other eatable things – (except cookies) -> the garbage bin in the recreation/coffee-rooms (or in the hall). Ask first when in doubt. Keep things clean – keep things safe.

7 Emergency Emergency and other information about health/security:
(dutch) (emergency numbers in dutch) (english) (emergency numbers!) Blue box in the hall – building plans. Try to keep exits/emergency free - in case of fire with lots of smoke this can save lives. Opposite side of blue box = emergency phone (= analog phone).
