5. Elements of music Pitch Duration
Pitch refers to how high or how low the sound and has to do with the vibration of sound. The pitch of a sound is based on the frequency of vibration. The slower the vibration lower the pitch; the faster the vibration the higher the pitch

Refers to the length of each note. This can be very long or very short.

This makes references to the volume of the music being played. This can be very soft (pp) or very loud (ff)
Dynamics
is the most dramatic of all elements. It is just as important as sound. It gives time for the listener to think and for echoes in music to die away.
