Developed with knowledge of student and employer: Academic skill level Career assessment information Career goals Capacity to interact with public Accommodations ( if applicable) Include skill development in three areas: technical skills, academic skills, employability skills Focus on establishing baseline and increasing skill levels.

3 Student Work-Based Learning Plans: Creating High Expectations
Essential Question: Does the learning plan engage the student in a variety of intellectually challenging work that will get this student to proficiency with regard to performing the identified tasks?

4 Student Learning Plans: Creating High Expectations
Do any projects or assignments described ask students to produce work at proficient level (synthesize, analyze, evaluate concepts, skills or information)? Are there any extended major projects associated with the WBL placement? Does anything in the work plan support school-wide literacy goals? Numeracy goals?

5 Review Questions Student Learning Plan
What information do you need to develop a work plan? What info do you have? What is missing? After discussing the WBL placement with the student, caregiver and employer, what additions or deletions should be made to the student work plan? Are the duties and tasks appropriate for this student? If you do not know, what info do you need to make that assessment? How will the plan be assessed? By whom? How often? What is the process to communicate this to all?
