1 TOEFL

2 What is it? Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a standardized test to measure the English language ability of non-native speakers wishing to enroll in English-speaking universities. It is published by Educational Testing Services (ETS).

3 Who should take it? International students

4 What does it assess? Students’ ability to understand English at the college level. There are 4 sections: listening; speaking; reading; and writing.

5 Is it required? Most universities require international students to take the TOEFL. Go to to learn more.
