17 Migration Considerations
Migrating from LTO5 or LTO6 to LTO8 technology: Re-direct all new writes to the new tape drives and let the old data expire. Copy any old data to the new drives or include one or two LTO7 drives. Data copies can be facilitated by the backup software Cartridges can be consolidated onto higher capacity LTO resulting in significant reduction in tapes Moving to LTO7 or beyond better positions the customer for growth. {DESCRIPTION} This slide contains the topics that are covered by the narration written in the transcription of this slide. {TRANSCRIPT} Today’s webinar covers: LTFS Overview Positioning and Ideal Clients What’s New and Current Editions of LTFS How the LTFS Storage Manager Works which (inaudible) will cover for you Qualifying Questions and Overcoming Objections when facing a potential customer Benefits of the LTFS Storage Manager Seller call-to-action So let’s get started. 17
