To develop leaders who act with a deeper understanding of themselves, their organizations, and their communities, and contribute positively to the growth of each Mission of the Wharton Leadership Venture Program To create, offer, and facilitate world-class expeditions, intensives, and workshops that provide MBA students with high demand environments for growth and development

5 Venture Fellows 28-29 second-year students with primary responsibility of designing and delivering educational content of Venture Training includes facilitation, conflict mediation, coaching, group decision making, crisis management, situational leadership, wilderness navigation, and wilderness first aid

8 Venture Fellow General Responsibilities
Commit to and actively engage with the program for the entire year Includes mandatory VF trainings, committee participation, and venture- related preparation and execution Time commitment per week varies throughout the year (more hours in the lead-up to your venture) Lead by example and reinforce leadership development focus of the program for Venture Fellows and participants Serve as ambassadors of Wharton, the Leadership Office, and the Leadership Ventures Program Willingness to develop outdoor skills Sean

9 Pre-Venture Responsibilities
Assist with marketing efforts to build venture participant teams Manage waitlist, follow up with participant payment and logistical issues Coordinate and deliver pre-trip information sessions, gear checks, and training sessions and/or other activities Conduct 1-on-1 discussions with each participant to assess personal leadership development goals Collaborate with venture staff and guides to develop a venture plan Ensure participants are as venture ready as possible Ensure own preparedness for ventures by attending all trainings and coordinating with your Venture Fellow team for curriculum Sean

10 Venture Responsibilities
Collaborate with guides to develop and execute your venture plan Serve as the coach and facilitate leadership development and deliver educational content Act as emergency response in crisis conditions Support the Leader of the Day Appropriately represent Wharton and the Leadership Office Sean

Debrief with VF community Compile pass-down knowledge transfer documents on Venture for next year Recruitment and selection of following year’s Venture Fellows Amalia

Wednesday, February 14th, 9:00am: Online applications open Office hours (12-1:30pm) in MBA Cafe: February 19, 22, 27, 28 and March 13, 14, 15 Thursday, March 15th, 11:59pm: Online applications close Saturday, March 24th-Thursday, March 29th, 2018: Interviews Friday, March 30th, 2018: VF Class of announced 28-29 Venture Fellows are selected then assigned to ventures based on designated venture preferences when possible Your Venture preferences do not influence the selection process You do not need to have participated in a Venture to be a Venture Fellow Apply at Sean
