Building on annual review, PPR enables programme teams to evaluate, comment upon and monitor the impact on their taught programmes of cumulative change (usually every 5 years), and to identify further opportunities for enhancement of the student learning experience

Conducted at academic or support area level, these evidence-informed cyclical reviews (every 7 years) are based on a process of self-evaluation of unit strategy, organisation, management, scholarship & research, community & external relations. Self assessment is followed by an externally led peer review visit, and planned quality improvement as a result of peer recommendations
