Small tables and graphs Mostly numbers instead of words or symbols Easy to spot relationships or trends Short answers – “increase” or “decrease”

Science Basics Approach Review
Work the figures Start with the figures!! – Mark trends, note units Work the questions Look for questions with minimal words (POOD) Work the answers Use POE Read (if you have to…) There are some, but not many questions that require you to find an answer in the text
