MOTIVATION
The ongoing research focused on process intensification that targets dramatic improvement in existing processes into ones that are more precise and efficient than existing processes. Process intensification involves combining separate unit operations into a single piece of equipment resulting in a more efficient and economical manufacturing. The current research activities at PSDC are related to process intensification using reactive distillation, heat integrated RD columns, reactive divided wall columns and thermally coupled reactive distillation configurations.
