T e c h n i c a l P e t r o l e u m T r a i n in g I n s t i t u t e IWCF Drilling Well Control This course is conducted in English Course Overview : The IWCF certification is a simulator assessment and testing format only. The Drilling Well Control Certification Course addresses the basic principles and theory of well control along with the most commonly used well control techniques. Certification is awarded upon successful completion at Supervisor or Driller levels. Course Schedule Who should attend : 17-21 February 2014 Drilling Representatives, Drilling Supervisors, Toolpushers, Drillers, Assistant Driller, who desire IWCF certification as a Driller and Drilling Supervisor or for those who want a thorough knowledge of well control techniques, etc. Class Size Minimum Maximum 15 Venue TPTI Bangpu Training Center 919/9 Moo. 2 , Tambon Taiban, Bangpoo Samut Prakarn Province Thailand Registration Fee : 65,000 Baht / US $ 2,150 This fee does not include 7% VAT and transportation but include 2 coffee breaks and a lunch during the session day, accommodation, instruction and instructional materials. Course Instructor : Mr.Panus Innwon (Certified IWCF Assessor) Course Outline : 17-21 February 2014 17-20 February Time Principles and Procedures Basic Terms, Definitions and Calculation for Well Control Normal / Abnormal pressures  Well volume calculation SCR, LOT and MAASP Kick and Shut in procedures Shut in pressures Gas behavior Well killing Methods Problems while killing operations Kill Sheet calculation Gauge problem questions and actions Well Control Equipments Auxiliary equipments Annular and Ram type preventor  Surface BOP Stack, components BOP control system Diverter system MGS, Vacuum degasser BOP connections and ring joint gaskets Subsea BOP system and procedures Pressure testing of BOP stack BOP Control Unit and trouble shooting  Simulator practice/Simulator Test Special Issues: Stripping operations and Remedies Test 21 February Time Written Paper Test (by IWCF Invigilator) Note: Participants have to score minimum of 70% in each of the tests to qualify for the IWCF certificate. Validity of the IWCF certificate is two years. If a participant fails in any of the paper, he can re sit in the failed paper within two calendar months . Two attempts are allowed for re sit during this period. IWCF Certification is issued under TPTI center accreditation approved by IWCF and upon the successful of testing Payment/Cancellation The fee should be made in Thai Baht and payable to : Technical Petroleum Training Institute Account No: or Swift Code: SICOTHBK at Siam Commercial Bank Ltd., Ramatibadee Branch. The cancellation must be made and received by TPTI 14 days or more prior to the course.
