1 BR: T1D18 Describe the issue that you are addressing in your political cartoon. Why did you choose it? How are you making your point(s)? I’ll be giving you another 30 minutes to create a draft of your political cartoon assignment, and then you’ll be giving each other feedback on what you did. What’s that? Glad you asked!

2 Charrette Protocol* (~7 min)
Presentation (3 minutes): Presenters present their topic to another group. The other group listens (don’t interrupt; you’ll get a chance to respond. Take notes as they talk). If you run out of things to say, sit silently. You might be inspired to add something! Framing Question (1 min.): Presenter asks a specific question or two to help structure the feedback from the listeners. Example: “What could I explain better…?” or “What things might you be confused about…?” Feedback (2 minutes): Listeners give suggestions. Presenters listen, take notes (listen quietly! No Interrupting!) Note: keep feedback helpful, specific, and kind Open Discussion (2 minutes): Presenters and listeners have a dialogue about the suggestions / feedback. *Note: Each section will be timed, and we ALL change together.

3 HW: You have the rest of class today to polish your political cartoon. Make sure you are ready by next time! (or catch up on other missing work) Make sure you’ve completed the following: Use the feedback you got to help make your political cartoon better. (final will be presented next time, T1D19) Be prepared to present your cartoon for about 1-2 minutes to the entire class. 50 pts possible.
