3 Q3 a. During your personal development programme you will have received feedback from others. Explain whether the feedback YOU received was useful or not. (2 marks) The marker wants you to explain why the feedback you received was useful to you and your PDP Point: was the feedback useful? Evidence: example of the feedback / reason why it was useful – think about the timing, content, person who gave the feedback… Explanation: So what….? why was this a good thing? What did it allow you to do? = 1 mark Therefore do this 2X

4 Paired Prep Task When you receive feedback it can be useful for many reasons. Task 1: Give 4 ways in which feedback can be useful. Think about: - The amount of information - The Timing - Positive / negative comments - The person giving you feedback Task 2: Create a different example for each. Task 3: For each of your answers explain why this is useful. Use linking words like: Therefore…. This allowed me to…. Because of this….

5 Q3 b. Explain why it is necessary to monitor your performance development programme. (3 marks) Give reasons why it is beneficial to track and monitor your performance throughout your PDP. Point: Reason why its necessary to monitor Evidence: example of that monitoring in your PDP Explanation: So what….? What impact does this have… what did allow you to do…? = 1 mark therefore do this 3 X

6 Paired Prep Task Task 1: Name three methods that you have used to monitor your performance during your PDP. Task 2: Give 3 reasons why you would monitor your performance during your PDP. Think: What does the information allow you to see? What do you then do with that information (does it change your PDP?)

7 Q3 c. Describing methods to monitor performance Select and describe a method that you used to monitor factor 1 (Physical). (2 marks) Select and describe a different method that you used to monitor factor 2 (Emotional). (2 marks) Your description should be detailed enough to allow someone to accurately use this method using only your description. For each answer: Identify the method Describe the method in full What did you have to do? When did you do this? How often? Who was involved? Did you record anything – where?

9 Q3 d. Evaluate the effectiveness of your personal development programme. (6 marks) Did your programme work? How? Are there any reasons why your programme didn’t work? How do I answer 1 mark = Three step approach… 1: Was it effective or ineffective? 2: Because: Reason/ example - what made it effective? 3: Impact that had: So what impact did this have? So why did this make it effective? Refer to both factors

List all of the reasons for why your programme worked for improving CRE. Task 2. List any reasons why your programme was not effective for improving CRE. Task 3. List all of the reasons for why your programme worked for managing your anger. Task 4. List any reasons why your programme was not effective for improving your anger control.

Have there been changes in your performance? - If your CRE has improved what are you able to do now? - If your anger control has improved what are you able to do now? How do I answer 1 mark = Three step approach… 1: What has changed? 2: Example 3: So what impact does this have?

(4 marks) Now that your CRE and anger control has improved what are you going to work on next? Are you needing to continue your PDP or focus on different factors? How do I answer 1 mark = Three step approach… 1: A development need 2: Therefore what are you planning to do about this? 3: So what impact would this have?

Don’t contradict what you said in Section 2 Question E! Think about the other 2 factors: - Physical Emotional Mental Social Task 2. Identify the methods/practices that you would use in the future to address these development needs.
