January 2012 920 MHz band (sub-GHz) in Japan The new RFID and low power wireless sensor network (WSN) band is known as the 920 MHz band. Although the new rules and conditions are still under evaluation, the current status on channelization is expected to be in effect since July 2012 without significant modifications. January 2012 920 MHz band (sub-GHz) in Japan Frequency band: MHz to MHz 920 MHz band option 1: 915.9 MHz to MHz with 61 unit channels of 200 kHz. Bandwidth tolerance: (200∙n) kHz, where n=1,2,3,4,5 (maximum bandwidth = 1 MHz). 920 MHz band option 2: 928.1 MHz to MHz with 16 unit channels of 100 kHz.
