3. ‘Plant / Equipment Register’
[Find Plant / Equipment] Assets Register
Finding Plant / Equipment Items in Vault is done via the Plant / Equipment Register
This can be found under Assets in the Menu Bar

4. [Find Plant / Equipment] Browsing the Register
The Plant / Equipment Register in Vault displays key, summary information for all recorded company assets that require monitoring, maintenance or certification, excluding vehicles and PPE items
The register is split across Items held by your Organisation, and those held by contractor companies. Click the Company Plant Register or Contractor Plant Register buttons to switch between the two

5. [Find Plant / Equipment] Browsing the Register (Cont)
We can browse the register by scrolling through the table and using the page controls at the bottom of the screen
The number of entries shown on one screen can be altered to suit your preference by making adjustments in the Filters Sidebar

6. [Find Plant / Equipment] Sorting the Register
To sort the order of the register to suit your requirements, click the column headers
For example, to sort by Plant Name, simply click the Plant Name column header
Click it again to toggle between ascending or descending alphabetical order

7. [Find Plant / Equipment] Smart Search
Smart Search makes light work of finding a particular individual or group of items that match certain criteria
To find a particular item by name, simply begin typing the item name into the Smart Search box
With each keystroke, Vault intelligently narrows down the results to only those entries that match
We can do the same thing with any information, for example, the serial number

8. [Find Plant / Equipment] Additional Smart Search Controls
Further Smart Search controls are available to filter results to only those matching specific criteria
For example, to find only items relating to a particular Site, click the blue arrow to reveal available parameters
Select Site to restrict search results to only that field, and enter the Site name
Only items relating to that site are now shown

9. [Find Plant / Equipment] Applying Multiple Smart Search Controls
More than one filter can be applied to narrow-down even further
For example, to now restrict our results to only items that relate to a particular Department at the selected Site, click the arrow again and select Department, then begin typing the Department name
Now, only items matching BOTH criteria are shown

10. [Find Plant / Equipment] Using the Filters Sidebar
Additional controls are available in the Filters sidebar
To filter the register to only items of a particular category, click the Category button and make one or more selections using the check-boxes, then click Apply

11. [Find Plant / Equipment] Filtering by Category
To restrict results to only those items with an expired or failed certification or maintenance status, tick the Expired/Failed Records Only check-box and click Apply

12. [Find Plant / Equipment] My Filters
To save time frequently performing the same search, Vault provides the ability to save search criteria using My Filters
Simply select the criteria for the filter, choose a meaningful name, and click Save
Now, performing this search is just a single click away.

13. [Find Plant / Equipment] Hiding the Filters Sidebar
To hide the Filters Sidebar, click the back-facing arrow toward the top of the screen
Click it again to restore it

14. [Find Plant / Equipment] Viewing Plant / Equipment Item
Once the right item is found, to view the full record details, click Actions, then View, or click on the ID
