Grab a new baby scale and tracker from the back table Tear out chapter 8 ( do not staple it, I will pass around the good stapler) THEN return your book back to the bookshelf Turn to lesson 1: highlight lesson 1 key ideas and your new vocabulary words with their definition Bellwork 10/6/2014

2 In your interactive notebook do the following
Step 1 -Title pages 18 and 19 : Chapter 8 scale and reflection Step 2- Copy down the following goal in the empty square on the tracking slip: Goal: The student will be able to explain how physical evidence supports theories that the Earth has evolved over geological time due to natural processes. Step 3- Look at your scale: shade the tracking slip where you currently feel you are at and date it 10/6 Step 4- Glue the baby scale on the top of page 18 Step 5- Glue the goal slip under the baby scale on the same page Step 6- NEXT on page 19 answer the following questions based from your scale What is your goal In detail explain how you are going to reach your goal How is the scale going to help you in reaching your goal?

On page 20 you will collect evidence that will help you answer video questions at the end of class. There will be 4 questions that will be answered on page 21 in your notebook

4 After Video Answer the questions at your desk on page 21 in your notebook Make sure you write your answer in complete sentences You may use your video evidence you collected to help you answer your questions
