2. Egyptian Art
It is important to understand that Egyptian art was creative but artists operated under certain rules that had to be obeyed.
In chapter 21 many of these rules are discussed. (in a picture, important people must always be large for example.)

3. Activity: Egyptian Art Textbook (Due Tuesday)
Create an Egyptian art textbook. This book explains important rules that must be followed if your are going to create a piece of art.
Come up with 5 rules
Make a book (5 pages and a cover.) Each page deals with one rule.
Explain the rule AND draw an example of it (or get one from the internet)

4. Activity: Egyptian Art Textbook (Due Tuesday)
I would suggest reading the chapter 1st.
As you read, make a list of concepts or ideas about Egyptian art.
Once you have created this list decide which ones you might be able to put into the book. How would you explain it? What sort of picture would you use?
