Review Game #2

Your task today: There are 4 challenges to complete.
You will have 10 minutes for each challenge. You will have to work together as a group to compete the challenges. You will need paper to show your work for the challenges. Every member of the group must participate in every challenge

Challenge #1 Using the two lists below, come up with the formulas for at least 40 ionic compounds. There are 64 possible combinations. Cations Anions Sodium (Na) Fluorine (F) Potassium (K) Chlorine (Cl) Magnesium (Mg) Bromine (Br) Calcium (Ca) Iodine (I) Aluminum (Al) Oxygen (O) Iron (Fe) III Sulfur (S) Tin (Sn) IV Nitrogen (N) Lead (Pb) IV Phosphorus (P)

Challenge #2 Using the two lists below, come up with the formulas and names for at least 20 ionic compounds. There are 25 possible combinations. Cations Anions Ammonium Sulfate Copper (II) Carbonate Silver Phosphate Gold Chlorate Platinum (IV) Nitrate

Challenge #3 Using the following 5 central elements, create 35 different Lewis dot diagrams for covalent compounds and then name the compounds. Carbon Nitrogen Phosphorus Sulfur Iodine Use the halogens as the outer elements for the compounds.

Challenge #4 As a group, write a detailed explanation of the similarities and differences in Ionic and Covalent Bonding. Once you finish this challenge, bring me your work/papers.
