2 Diet They fish like mullet and anchovey eat small
Humans are not on their regular diet They are known to feed on puffer fish The poison in their skin does not effect barracudas

3 Reproduction Barracudas mature at about 2 feet in length
They lay fertilized eggs adrift in the ocean currents The larvae will develop in deep waters The young swim to shallow water to live in the mangroves

4 Location Barracudas are found inland and out in the deep ocean.
They are found in tropical waters, some may swim in cold water Barracudas travel in schools most of the time

5 Size THEY ARE BORN AT ABOUT 3 POUNDS
MALE ADULTS CAN GET TO BE 50 POUNDS DEPENDING ON SPECIES AND SIZE. THE RECORD CATCH IS 1031/4 POUNDS, AND 5 1/2 FEET LONG

6 Life Span There are no conclusive records on the life span
of the great barracuda, but based on the length of girth development of larger species, 14 years is the estimated time of the life span.
