2. A bout Shimla Shimla is the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. In 1864, Shimla was declared the summer capital of the British Raj in India. A popular tourist destination, Shimla is often referred to as the "Queen of Hills.Located in the north-west Himalayas at an average altitude of 2,205 metres (7,234 ft), the city of Shimla, draped in forests of pine, rhododendron, and oak, experiences pleasant summers and cold, snowy winters. The city is famous for its buildings styled in tudorbethan and neo-gothic architecture dating from the colonial era. Shimla is connected to the city of Kalka by one of the longest narrow gauge railway routes still operating in India,[2] the Kalka-Shimla Railway. Shimla is approximately 115 km (71.4 miles) from Chandigarh, the nearest major city, and 365 km (226.8 miles) from New Delhi, the national capital.

4. C amp located inside Van Vihar Camp is located inside the Van Vihar on one of the 7 hills of Shimla. You can call it a suburb of Shimla and it is situated 6 kms west to the Shimla Ridge.

5. F orest Near the Camp Camp is famous in Shimla for birding. You will spot one of the most rarest and exotic birds here. The Himachal Forest department has done quite a bit to conserve this and thats why Camp is the only Eco Tourism Resort in Shimla. While you are at Camp you will only wake up to the chirping of Koels.

6. C hadwick Fall There is lots to see and do at Camp. From nature treks to adventure activities, Camp has more to offer than some of the best resorts in Shimla. A 1 hour trek from Camp will bring you to the famous Chadwick Falls. A night trek with our guides will give you an insight of a jungle in the night. Play indoor and outdoor games at Camp and sing songs with friends over a bonfire. There is lots more that awaits you at Camp

9. C ottage Interior our tents and cottages are good enough for a relaxed, comfortable sleep. We do have an attached bath in all the units with basic amenities with running hot and cold water. Toilets are complete with gas-heated geysers. To make your stay a little more cosy in Shimla, we have electric blanket in all the units.

10. T ent View Camp is ideal for those who are not looking for any luxury. Since we are tucked in a botanical jungle, we are known more for nature and greenery than the luxury of resorts in Shimla. 20. P ottery at Camp Years ago, this botanical jungle was famous for its clay. While Pottery has taken a back seat in Shimla, camp still encourage pottery at Camp. While you are at Camp, you might just come across some potters making their stuff. Indian Handmade Pottery is famous worldwide and we support these potters so that their art is recognized by everyone.
