Mahaseer Fishing Camps has been set up primarily to enhance the travel experience of travelers as a place very close to nature. As a child you dreamed of a destination, a place where you always wanted to be. The destination of your dreams had hills, river, fish, ducks, huts……clear blue sky….and lot of greenery. Now you can actually see it! Welcome to Mahaseer Fishing Camps!

5. N estled in a valley in the Kumaon Hills, Mahaseer Fishing Camps is located at Marchula, 280 kms from Delhi, 35 kms uphill to Jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand. Imagine opening your eyes to the sound of birds and the stream flowing. Absolutely cut off from the concrete jungle, it is such a welcome change when you can actually “hear” nature! Just laze around. Enjoy the sun in winters and cool stream waters in summers, climb up the goat trail, go for trekking and nature walks, enjoy your picnic basket sitting next to the stream, take out your binoculars and watch all kinds of birds……and if you have the patience, try catching Mahaseer, the fish also called tiger of the river. And as the night sets in and the place gets surrounded by darkness, while you enjoy your meals, who knows you might see a barking deer, a spotted deer, a porcupine, an odd otter….or even a leopard!

7. M ahaseer Fishing Camps is fully equipped to cater to a vast expanse of travelers. Be it corporate, schools & colleges or individual traveler. Mahaseer Fishing Camps offers two categories of camps – Luxury Swiss and Regular Swiss Camps. Luxury Camps : with a room size of 12’ x 17’, these camps give you a feeling of being on top of the world. The interiors of these camps tastefully done and are equipped with a double bed with side table and lamps, a side chest with refrigerator & electric kettle, chairs, a wardrobe and a shoe/luggage rack. The attached wash rooms are fully tiled with all facilities of a modern washroom including a geyser. These camps are made out of special canvas which keeps the room warm during winters and cool during summers. Each camp has an attached lawn for privacy. Regular Camps : with a room size of 10’ x 12’, these camps are equipped with a double bed, a side table with lamp, an almirah and a luggage rack. The attached wash rooms have all facilities of a modern washroom including a geyser. With a total number of 20 camp units in offering, travelers can choose as per their requirement. Accommodation……

8. All meals are served buffet style in our restaurant, which can accommodate up to 40 people. The restaurant is open only to house guests and offers a wide range of Indian & Continental meals, both vegetarian & non-vegetarian. The restaurant also serves as a conference room when required. It can seat up to 100 people comfortably. Facilities like overhead projector, sound system & stage can be organized on advance request since the nearest township is 35 kms away. Mobile signals are a rarity but we have a landline number which can be used for incoming & outgoing calls. There is no room service at the campsite and no televisions since we would prefer an absolute cutoff from the urban jungle. As of now, no credit cards are accepted at the campsite. The staff has been specially trained to make you feel at home. We want you to treat Mahaseer Fishing Camps as your very own getaway. Restaurant & Conferencing……

9. How to reach Mahaseer Fishing Camps

10. M ahaseer Fishing Camps is located off NH 121 (Moradabad-Tehri highway), about 280 kms/7 hr drive from Delhi, 35 kms uphill to famous Jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand. The nearest township is Ramnagar, which is well connected by road and railways. En route to Ramnagar from Delhi, one has to pass via Ghaziabad-Hapur-Gajraula-Moradabad-Kashipur-Ramnagar. Ranikhet Express train departs from Old Delhi railway station at 10.40 pm and reaches Ramanagar at 7 am. Pickup from Ramnagar station can be organised on request. Nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi.
