3 Noise Filtering Noise with large laser-like intensity may confuse location finding algorithm Use median filter to eliminate saturated one-pixel noise

4 Averaging Frames Problem with jittery laser movement.
Problem with moving laser to track path. Take average of laser location, not average of image.

5 Interfering Intense Sources
Light reflections off of shiny surfaces like chrome and white paper have high intensity like laser Hard to track laser verses another constant intense light source Strobe laser light so camera takes picture of frame with laser and without Take difference in images to find laser point.

6 Memory Constraints Design currently uses XS-40 board
Computation for filters, averages, and differences requires more space. Use XSV-300 board.
