2 Aims of this module To underpin knowledge of Entity Relationship Modelling, RDBMS and Structured Query Language To develop knowledge and skills in further concepts associated with RDBMS such as transactions, concurrency control, recovery and security and Relational Algebra To provide experience of a variety of database architectures and apply this knowledge to DBMS selection according to application requirements Explore advanced aspects of data warehousing, distributed data, and evaluate the adoption of these systems to aid business intelligence practices for business advantage CSD305 Advanced Databases
