2. What is the CANES program?
The goal of PBIS is to prevent the development and the intensifying of problem behavior and maximize academic success for all students.
CANES is our version of PBIS at Fitzgerald High School that takes the place of the 3 R’s from the Primary, Elementary and Middle School.

3. How will it affect the school?
As a student at Fitzgerald High School, we will act as CANES.

Research by Rath and Clifton (2004) indicates that individuals who receive regular recognition and praise:

Are more likely to stay with their organization.
Receive higher loyalty and satisfaction.
Have better safety records.
