The Municipality of L’Aquila has always had a careful look and adopted policies in favor of the weakest through an analysis of the real needs looking to maximize tangible and intangible resources of the administration.

3. The Citizenship Card.
After the devastation of the earthquake, the interventions and the policies of municipal administration can not be limited only to the reconstruction of the city material. The social construction requires special attention, because the transformations had rise new needs.
The most vulnerable are those who have suffered the largest impact of the quake, such as to require improving and reinforcement of traditional social services.

It is aimed at Older Persons ultra sixty-five self-sufficient and not self suficientes;
The service offers psychological support to the older person, to the family with the aim of promoting the welfare of the whole person;

11. Integration straight for hospitality in residential facilities
The service is aimed at older people residents in the Municipality of L'Aquila, which have economic conditions do not permit the full payment of the fee for inclusion in protected structures social care and social health.

12. Community centers
The goal of socialization centers is to fight the loneliness of older people through the organization of activities that contribute to preserve social relationships. The goal of social centers :
prevent exclusion and isolation;
program the elder time encouraging the participation in community life;
support the maintenance of the older person in their social context, offering a comfortable and safe space;
recreational and cultural activities and physical education.

after the earthquake, part of the venues has been made it unusable and some centers the solution is still being defined :
“San Basilio” e “La Rotonda - Attualmente collocati in Via Alcide De Gasperi, Ex Scuola dell’Infanzia;
“Paganica” - P.zza della Concezione;
“Onna” - Via Dei Martiri, 3;
“Il Moro” - Filetto, Via Monte Ruzza, 2.
“San Giacomo” - P.zza Santa Maria del Vasto.

14. Trasport Service
The service provides accompanying the elderly into the territory of the Municipality for the development of rehabilitation therapies, clinical analysis, specialist visits.

15. The operational arm of Municipality
In order to offer a more comprehensive service system and efficient structured according to a complete circuit that goes from home care to social residency and social health, with a substantial presence of people over 75 years, the Municipality of L’Aquila has delegated the management of many services for citizens with more than 65 older at the Elderly Services Center "Corradino Bafile".
