5 Definitions Term- A number, variable, or a product or a quotient of numbers and variables. Like terms- Terms that contain the same variables, with corresponding variables having the same power. Equivalent Expressions- when two expressions denote the same number. Ex. 5n + 7n = 12n Simplest Form- An expression that has been replaced by an equivalent expression having no like terms or parenthesis.
