Platelet count correlated inversely with bleeding time 2 hours postoperatively (r2 = 0.08; p < 0.01). The bleeding time tended to be lower in the dipyridamole and aprotinin group (DIP + APR) than in the dipyridamole group (DIP) at any given platelet count (top). Postoperative blood loss (at 12 hours) correlated directly with bleeding time at 2 hours postoperatively in the dipyridamole group (r2 = 0.20; p < 0.01), but not in the dipyridamole and aprotinin group (bottom).
