This photo is from our long term cooperative site, the Irrigation Research Foundation in Eastern Colorado. This is after 2 years of Orthman strip till, and shows strip-till on the left and Conventional full width tillage on the right after back to back rain events. This picture is 10 minutes after the rain had stopped inches the day prior and 0.70 inch this day. Rain has soaked in and not run off like it is on the right, the conventionally tilled plots.
