20 Select Materials Interest Information - Create Interest wizard allows you to create reading interest profiles for patrons. These interests are used to select materials based on the same search criteria available in your online catalog. Two methods: Select Materials Manual Template 2

Allows for you to create very specific interests for Outreach patrons You can test your search string in Search and Display first **Note - Item Type should be consistent with your library’s terminology

Creating templates will save staff keystrokes and time for common interests. Terms must match your online catalog: i.e. Romance Fiction This will automatically pop up The Create Template wizard enables you to create interest profiles to be used as templates for outreach users. Templates are general interest topics or genres such as suspense, mystery, romance or historical fiction, that any number of users might have in common.

24 Select Materials IGNORE does not select & no history record is created. May be suggested for future use REJECT declines the item & creates a history record with a status of REJECT. The item will not be suggested in the future. SELECT places a title level hold on the item, and creates a history record with a status of SELECT for the item. Choose Modify to save

27 Auto Select Materials The Search Interest also has an Auto Select feature Auto Select will choose materials based on the number of items the patron account dictates This feature is especially beneficial to libraries with a high volume of items to be delivered or mailed to homebound patrons
