UTSA Educational Research Training Program: P-20 Pipeline Issues Important Dates Application Deadline July 31, 2018 Program Dates September June 2019 The Child and Adolescent Policy Research Institute is seeking 12 juniors, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, to participate in the UTSA Educational Research Training Program: P-20 Pipeline Issues. The students will receive a theoretically grounded set of research experiences and mentoring support designed to build upon their strengths and prepare them for admission and success in graduate education programs. Benefits Fellows Will: Have access to weekly informal seminars Conduct research apprenticeships Participate in summer institutes that will help enhance oral and written communication skills, develop research skills and prepare for graduate school Attend a 1-week summer workshop at Stanford University and a 1-week workshop at UTSA Have an opportunity to publish research results and attend conference presentations with UTSA faculty and mentors Receive a monthly stipend Requirements Applicants Must: Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident Be a junior enrolled part-time or full-time in a UTSA bachelor’s program Have completed between 60 to 90 credit hours Be enrolled at UTSA or transferring from one of the Alamo Colleges into UTSA Demonstrate potential and expressed interest in pursuing a graduate program to conduct education research in any discipline If you are a financial aid recipient, please keep in mind that your financial aid may be adjusted if you are selected to receive the fellowship.
