Meet the Teacher! Mrs Beth Carr Mrs Rossell, Mrs Nicholson and Mr Rundle will be the other adults working in year 3

2 We are register monitors – to be taken round at 8:45am
Year 3 Children will enter via the Year 3 classroom door at the side of the building at 8:50am. We are register monitors – to be taken round at 8:45am They will be expected to hang their belongings up and enter the classroom with all equipment needed for the day.

Drinks bottle Healthy snack Pencil case (optional) PE Kit: Outdoor – Tuesday Indoor (but outdoor in Summer term – Wednesday Reading book and reading record Inhalers

4 Homework Children are expected to read 4 times per week. Reading records are collected in on a Thursday. Weekly spellings to learn (5 words) with a related challenge. Given out and tested on a Thursday. My Maths task set every Thursday to complete by the following Thursday.

5 Reading Your child will learn HOW to read and key reading skills during Guided Reading sessions in class. These are skills which will then need to be reinforced by home reading. We want your child to enjoy reading and sharing lots of different kinds of books with you! Hear your child read by ….. Taking it in turns – a page or paragraph each Read to them Brothers, sisters, grandparents …… Independent reading with discussion
