Adult distance learners have or may have barriers that prevent them pursuing a “traditional” style of education.

Distance learners are diverse:
Generally adult learners, mature, employed, and have family obligations
Higher motivation
Take responsibility for their own education
Self-directed
Learn in a variety of ways
Take control over their learning

5. Objective of Workshop
This workshop is designed to assist potential distance students in time management skills in preparing for learning through the distance education format.
Participants will gain knowledge to effectively manage their time as a distance learner.
