1. MARY SHELLEY She was born in 1797. Her dad was a philosopher.
Her mum was a femminis. She died when Mary was born.
Her housband was Percy Shelley, a romance writer of second generation.
With her housband she went to Lord Byron’s castle in Geneva where she decided to do a competition with Polidori ( he wrote «The vampire»).
In 1818 she wrote «Frankeinstain or The modern prometheus» .

2. FRANKEINSTAIN OR THE MODERN PROMETHEUS
Plot: Frankeinstain, a doctor, creates a creature with the best part of corps. The creature beacames a monster when another people meets him because he is innatural, different. Frankeinstain try to be like God as Prometheus.
The legend of Prometheus: he is God’s son who steals the fire to the God and he gives it to the man. He is tied to a stone and an eagle eats his liver.

3. FRANKEINSTAIN’S DREAM
THE DREAM :
In the dream he sees his girlfrends but when he tries to kiss her she becomes his mother’s corps
MEANING:
Difficult of relationship
Sense of gilt (his mother died when his brother was bron)
His repressed fear (incounscious)
