Cost varies, but right now HPWH cost more than a typical gas water heater. Around $1,500. Installation costs are wildly variable, from $2,000 to $6,000. Want to change that with better and more accessible contractor training and Trade Pro Connect platform.

Cross promotion includes solar PV installers, EV and EV charging sales, Financing teams such as PACE and other lenders, SunShares, Passive House.
Will coordinate with other grantees so we don’t duplicate efforts on residential outreach and homeowner education.
BAMBE Bay Area Multifamily Building Enhancement program of BayREN is the perfect vehicle to find eligible low-income multifamily housing ready for heat pump installations. StopWaste leads on BAMBE energy upgrade program.
