5 and the Multifamily Energy Conservation Loan Program (MEL) provide financing at below market rates to single-family and multi-family residential property owners for the purchase and installation of cost- saving energy conservation improvements. 8 Connecticut Efficiency Healthy Homes Initiative (CTEHHI)/CT Energy Efficiency Fund Lead Abatement Mediation Prevention Program (LAMPP)

9 Connecticut Children’s Healthy Homes Project improves children’s health by making their homes healthier, safer places to live and play since 2003. This program is committed to protecting children from lead poisoning and making homes in Connecticut green, safe and healthy. LAMPP receives funding through US Department of Housing and Urban Development and the State of Connecticut Department of Housing.

10 LAMPP services are available in 15 towns and cities across CT: Bridgeport, Danbury, East Haven, Enfield, Hartford, Manchester, Meriden, New Britain, New Haven, Norwalk, Stamford, Torrington and Winchester, Waterbury, West Haven. Loans range from $1,000 to $25,000 for LMI families with children under the age of 6.

11 LAMPP provides qualified homeowners and/or tenants with: Inspection plans for lead and home safety hazard removal Financial assistance to remediate hazards Relocation assistance during construction Referrals to low-or no-cost home weatherization programs designed to increase energy efficiency Lead hazard and healthy homes education

13 Home Energy Solutions (HES)

14 HES is another statewide energy related program designed to make homes more weather tight with improved insulation, windows, upgrading to ENERGY STAR® heating and cooling systems, improving the efficiency of hot water equipment - all of these improvements and more will assist homeowners to reduce energy consumption ultimately reducing their carbon footprint and lowering utility bills.

15 Who is Eligible? CL&P and UI Customers Applicants must own a single or two- family home (includes condos and vacation homes); 3-4 family homes are eligible for this financing.

17 The Cozy Home Loan is a 10-year loan with a 2.99% APR interest rate. It can be paid off at any time with no penalties. If you live in a single-family home you can borrow up to $25,000. If you live in a multifamily home (2-4 units) you can borrow up to $50,000 for home improvements. The minimum loan amount is $3,000. Cozy Home Loan
