1 Student Instructions for applying for Scholarships
with Winnacunnet Dollars for Scholars Updated November 23, 2015

2 Helpful Hints Complete your Student Profile completely and accurately. You will match to more scholarships if you provide complete information. Check back frequently to see if you qualify for additional scholarship opportunities. New scholarships are added periodically. Enter the name of the college you will attending as soon as you have finalized this decision. If you do not complete this information you will be eligible for fewer scholarships. Make sure your Transcript and Reference information has been submitted before selecting “Apply” for any scholarships. Transcript Requests – send these to Karen Jones; Recommendation Requests – send these to Melinda Shofner; If you are under 18, your parent will need to provide consent. This process is explained during the application process. Winnacunnet Dollars for Scholars uses FAFSA EFC number for scoring applicants for scholarships based on financial need. Your parents DO NOT need to supply any other financial information for you to qualify for Winnacunnet Dollars for Scholars scholarships. However, if you do not provide FAFSA EFC information you will be unable to qualify for scholarships requiring financial need. Questions? us at

When you’ve completed all your info, you can begin your scholarship search!

4 Additional Eligibility Questions
Answer all questions When you “Check Eligibility” you may be asked a series of Yes/No Questions. Respond appropriately to each question. Your responses will determine your eligibility for some scholarships. You may be asked the same question multiple times, this is because more than one scholarship has the same eligibility requirements. Just answer each question appropriately and hit “Submit” when complete.

5 Student Profile – Scholarship Matches
These are scholarships for which you qualify. If “Essay” or “References” buttons are active, you will need to click these and provide additional information in order complete your application for these scholarships.

6 Student Profile – Apply for Scholarships
Check that your profile is complete, and that your Transcripts and References have been submitted (review status for each item on your dashboard). Click “Submit App” as the final step to submit your application for a scholarship. All submitted applications will appear in the Submitted Application area.

7 Review and Check Profile Status
You will qualify for more scholarships if you complete all sections 100%.

8 Review and Check for New Scholarship Opportunities
Check for new scholarship opportunities frequently. Local and national scholarships are added frequently.
