Tutors are certified through training received from an actual class Free service! Off-campus tutoring costs $20-50/hour!! Most BC courses supported—other resources available on campus to meet all needs Provide one 50-minute session per week (one subject per student per week) DSPS & EOPS students receive help with an additional subject each week Drop-in tutoring available in 15-minute increments for Math/English Must make appointment in person, not by phone—go to CSS-203

6 Supplemental Instruction (SI) ~located in CSS-193 area~
Group study sessions offered to students in a variety of challenging classes Study sessions are run by well-qualified student we call an “SI Leader” SI Leaders also attend classes with students IF the instructor of that class requested a Leader SI Leaders know the subject, know the professor teaching the subject, know the types of assignments given, know the professor’s personality and teaching style—in short, they can inspire, mentor, and guide students to success on any academic pathway! BC’s First SI Man But they can’t help you if you don’t show up to their study sessions! So what are you waiting for?!! Give SI a try!
