The Council wishes to encourage contractors, suppliers and service providers engaged to work for the Council to show a commitment to Fairtrade. The Council is committed to Lewisham achieving and maintaining “Fairtrade Borough” status by meeting the five goals necessary to become a designated Fairtrade Borough. 11 Go to: Councillors – they will have public meetings you can attend first – always best to as it allows officers to find the right people internally – Councils are big employers there are a lot of people we don’t know Via local assemblies – Council representation will be there, good to have a community wanting to be involved How to engage
