108 miles of premier all-terrain vehicle/off-highway motorcycle trail riding opportunities premier destination for equestrians Water-based recreation opportunities on the popular 8,000-acre Allegheny Reservoir and along the Wild and Scenic Allegheny and Clarion rivers easily accessible opportunities for developed or remote dispersed recreation across a lush forested landscape rich heritage, ranging from early settlement by native peoples to the lumber and oil era

Driving for pleasure, and access to water and trails are the primary focus of recreational users Provide a safe network of roads suitable for public travel Provide boating and camping opportunities on or near water Provide a variety of trails to meet a diversity of interests

Diversify recreation facilities to meet those changing needs of the recreating public, in a manner that complements other recreational infrastructure in the Pennsylvania Wilds and is consistent with the objectives of National Forest management

Focus developed recreation areas where people focus their activities: water and trails Water: Allegheny Reservoir, Allegheny River, Clarion River Trails: ATV/OHV, equestrian, mountain biking, NCT Trailheads Provide developed recreation opportunities in areas of cultural or social significance Buckaloons, Loleta, Twin Lakes  Manage dispersed recreation activities to emphasize protection of forest resources, particularly soil and water quality Designate dispersed camping in sensitive and/or popular areas Enhance sites where the public historically frequents
