2. Growth
The Hippo can grow to weigh 1200 pounds and can be as long as 12 feet with a height of 6 feet at the shoulder.
This hippo baby will grow to be as big as its mother in a little under 4 years.

3. Reproduction
The hippo reproduces sexually and can have as many as 2 offspring at a time.
Hippos females are pregnant for 16 months and babies are usually born in the rainy season.
This little hippo baby was just born and will hang out with its mother for the next 3 years before it reaches sexual maturity and can have babies of its own.
