2 Elements of Design Color Line Shape Space Texture
These attributes help define how the garment will look.

3 LINE Horizontal – makes you look shorter and wider
Vertical – more slender and taller Diagonal – adds the most interest (zig zag)

4 Curved Line Looks more feminine

5 SHAPE The silhouette of the garment – the outline
Full – larger/heavier Tubular – taller/thinner Bell – looks good on most

6 TEXTURE Looks Thinner: smooth flat textures
Looks Heavier: fuzzy, loopy, stiff, clingy, shiny No Effect: dull surfaces

Use the design elements to create your looks Identify the color scheme – must have 3 different color schemes Identify at least 3 design principles or elements of each outfit
