1 Registration and Role Request for DAAs
GPC One-Pager Registration and Role Request for DAAs DAAs PIEE/JAM The Delegating/Appointing Authority (DAA) is the person duly appointed to delegate procurement authority on behalf of an organization. She or he is generally the head of contracting or another senior official. Although the DAA does not have to be registered in PIEE to perform their role, there are benefits for the DAA who has a PIEE account: Ability to track the status of delegated/appointed individuals. Ability to conduct just-in-time approvals rather than waiting for s to arrive. What do I have to know? There is no JAM appointment for the DAA. You can have more than one GPC DAA role per user. PIEE requires the DAA role to be associated with a group at registration. PIEE requires the DAA to provide their Authority DoDAAC at the time of registration. The Authority DoDAAC is where the DAA received their authority of procurement authority (i.e., to be the Head of Contracting, PARC, etc.). The DAA Role Location Group will display on all appointments the DAA signs. This cannot be changed on the appointment. Other Considerations The authority DoDAAC will be used for informational purposes only at this time and will not have any validation other than a system check to ensure that it is a valid DoDAAC. The DoDAAC does not have to reside within the group identified for the selected role. The authority DoDAAC should be a DoDAAC with a procurement flag. 3 Jan 2019 3OP:005 PIEE DAU DPC/Purchase Card (Can be clicked in Slide Show Mode) Still have questions? See next page.

2 Registration and Role Request for DAAs
GPC One-Pager Registration and Role Request for DAAs How do I know if this is the right role for me? DAAs are the individuals (other than OA/OPCs or A/OPCs with Delegating Authority) who have retained or been assigned authority to electronically sign GPC Delegation of Procurement Authority and GPC Appointment Letters. DAAs are generally heads of contracting, Army PARCs, etc. If other roles have delegating authority, it is because the DAA has provided them with that ability. What training do I need? DoD cyber-security training is required for PIEE registration. What is the difference between the Delegation Appointing Signatory (DAS) and the DAA? DAA is a role that has the ability to delegate procurement authority. DAS is a grouping of all roles with the ability to delegate authority. It includes DAAs with or without PIEE access, OA/OPCs with Delegating Authority, and A/OPCs with Delegating Authority. DAAs PIEE/JAM Frequently Asked Questions What if I need multiple roles? If you need multiple roles, you can do one of two things: When initially requesting your roles, you can add all the roles and identify the Role Location DoDAAC/Group for each role. If you need to add a role at a later date, you can log in to your PIEE account, click “My Account,” click “Add Additional Roles,” and follow the instructions on the screen. Add the additional roles and the associated Role Location DoDAAC/Group for each. What do I need to know about DoDAACs? The Home Organization DoDAAC is the DoDAAC of the organization where you sit. The Role Location DoDAAC is the DoDAAC of the organization for which you perform your duties. DAAs are assigned at the group level. The Authority Location DoDAAC is the DoDAAC of the organization that grants you GPC authority (i.e., signs your appointment letter). Since DAAs do not have appointments, at the time of registration, the system will ask the DAA to provide this information. Whether you sit at a DoDAAC with a procurement flag or not, you should enter the correct Home Organization DoDAAC. The same applies to the Role Location DoDAAC. DAAs will generally be at a DoDAAC with a procurement flag. 3 Jan 2019 3OP:005 PIEE DAU DPC/Purchase Card (Can be clicked in Slide Show Mode) Not sure where to begin? See next page.

There is no appointment for DAAs at this time. A registration demo is available at: “Servicing Agency” and “Requesting Agency” should determine in which manner they would like to operate. Based on the decision, the appropriate roles should be established in one or both organizations. 3 Jan 2019 3OP:005 PIEE DAU DPC/Purchase Card (Can be clicked in Slide Show Mode)
