Strategic Plan: Tri-Cities High School
Increase the percentage of students scoring at the proficient and distinguished performance level on all Georgia Milestones assessments by 10 percentage points. All Professional Learning Community leaders, department chairs, instructional coaches, and administrators will support and monitor teams using the PLC Learning Continuum rubric and other tools outlined in Learning by Doing Monitor action plans to ensure target groups are addressed. Observe classrooms to ensure target groups receive support outlined Deliver monthly PD on data-driven instruction and interventions On-going Professional Learning is a necessary aspect of professional growth for faculty and staff. Refine PBIS grid to align with new PBIS acronym P.R.I.D.E. (purpose, resilience, innovation, discipline, and empathy) Implement 7 Mindsets (resilience) curriculum to teacher positive behaviors Shift school culture to reward students and staff for positive behaviors instead of reinforcing negative behaviors Identify points of celebration to reinforce during the school year Collect positive behavior data using the HERO system and provide rewards to student Reward students for positive behaviors during monthly, grade level P.R.I.D.E. celebrations Leadership team will shift resources such as increased coaching support for teachers, tutors for students, mentors, and wraparound service support based on interim progress reports and report cards Recognize students for improved performance in academic performance, P.R.I.D.E., and credits earned toward graduation. Celebrate NBA (Never Been Absent), (Never Found Late) Clubs, and students with improved attendance Family and the community will serve as equal partners in the decisions that affect children in their schools include: The School Governance Council, the PTA and Parent Booster Clubs. These processes are effective for they will provide the parents and members of the community some feeling of ownership in what happens in relation to students Positive Behavior Initiation Supports Brand school with P.R.I.D.E. signage and reinforce in all interactions. Redesign support staff duties and responsibilities to provide more direct student support. Increase community partnerships Expand learning opportunities, community services, and civic participation includes the involvement of TCHS business partners, mentor programs, various internships, Move on When Ready, virtual classes & the TCHS Student Alumni Association. Annual Partnership breakfast College & Career Day (Sign-in Sheets/Surveys) Survey feedback Activity documentation and newsletters. Each year we will increase the number of impactful Partnerships at our school will align to our strategic plan Parents will be a welcomed component of the school's environment & they are also consistently informed about their student's academic failures & successes. Parents/community members feel welcomed stakeholders of the school. Increase Community Partnerships Increase community related/based events & activities Provide effective communication with families and communities in the school include a very visible campus marquee that is consistently updated, regular phone blasts home to parents, and consistent newsletters and Twitter blasts Establishing relationships with members of the community stakeholders, neighborhood associations, Student alumni association and business partners Families are empowered to be advocates for their own and other children include: Monthly parent conference night, the TAC parent portal, Parent liaison, the School Governance Council, the PTA and Parent Booster Clubs.
