2. How to access KeMU Library E-resources
1. Using any browser (e.g. mozilla firefox/internet explorer/google chrome,
type on the address bar. Then press “Enter” key on your keyboard

3. The KeMU Website (Home page)
2. Click on “Library website” link

4. KeMU Library Web page
3. Click on the link “E-books & E-journals Access”

5. How to log in to e-resources portal
4. Enter your username & password and click Login
Note: To log in, do as follows
Students;
User Name: Use your student registration number (without — or / ) e.g. “bis ”
Password: Use four middle digits of your registration number e.g in the above registration number.
Staff;
User Name: Use your staff (outlook) user ID e.g. “fredrick.onyango”
Password: Use your staff PF number.

6. How to access E-books
2. Once logged in, click on “Ebooks” link

7. How to access Ebrary E-books
3. On the list of subscribed e-books, click on a database to access its ebooks e.g. “ebrary ebooks”
Note:
The yellow text under each database gives a brief description of what it covers

8. The Ebrary E-books Web Page
4. Enter your search terms (key words) in the search text box and click “Search”
Note:
Alternatively, you can browse by topic

9. Opening Ebrary E-books
5. Scroll down your search results and click on the title of a book to open
Note:
Clicking on the Table of Contents will display the book chapters

6. Click on “Read Online”

7. Scroll down to read the book
Note:
Click to get the book reference (citation)
Click to share link to the book to a friend
Click to add the book to your bookshelf (list of your preferred books)
Click to copy and paste text to a word document
Click to download a chapter or specified number of pages
Click to download the whole book

12. How to access Taylor & Francis E-books
3. On the list of subscribed e-books, click on “Taylor & Francis ebooks”

13. Taylor & Francis E-books Web Page
Enter your search terms (key words) in the search text box
Click on the search icon
Filter your search by selecting “Full access content only”

14. Opening Taylor & Francis E-books
7. Go through the list, select a book and click on “Access book” to open it

8. Click on either “View book online” or “Download book” to open the e-book.

16. Taylor & Francis E-books Navigation tools
9. Use the following tools to navigate through the book
Used to print the pages required
Used to zoom in or out on a page of the book
Used to move a page forward or backward
Use the citation icon to get the book reference (citation)
