1 John 5:1-5

2. 1 John 5:1-2
1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments.

3. John 14:15 If you love me you will keep my commandments… Matthew 22:37–40 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

4. 1 John 5:3
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. Matthew 11: Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

4 For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

6. Caedmon’s Call – This World There's tarnish on the golden rule And I wanna jump from this ship of fools Show me a place where hope is young And a people who aren't afraid to love This world has nothing for me and this world has everything All that I could want and nothing that I need This world is making me drunk on the spirits of fear. 7. We live by FAITH…
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Colossians 2:6–7 6 Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, 7 rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
