2 1. What is the mean, mode, and range of the data?
The following table shows the results from a survey of 12 students. These 12 students were asked how many hours they spent studying after school. Use the following data to answer questions Use complete sentences. 1. What is the mean, mode, and range of the data? Student Number of Hours 1 5 2 3 4 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 2. Find the mean absolute deviation (MAD). Remember to find the difference of each value/element of the data set from the mean. Then, find the mean of these differences. 3. What does the MAD tell you about the data? 4. The following data represents the number of minutes students spent eating their lunch. Create a box plot to represent this data and identify all parts used: 25 , 2 , 24 , 4 , 2 , 20 , 24 , 5 , 22 , 6 5. What is the IQR and what does it tell you about the data?
