Print these cards on A4 paper and laminate These cards summarise the key phases in the development of Nazi policy against the Jewish people, from persecution through enforced emigration and deportation to systematic mass murder and the Holocaust. Please refer to the detailed lesson plan and pedagogical guidance

3 Removing ‘Jewish influence’
Forcing Jewish people out of German political life, society, the ‘people’s community’ and the economy.

4 Enforced emigration Making life so difficult for Jewish people that they want to leave Germany.

5 Plans to deport massive numbers of Jewish people to huge ‘reservations’ in eastern Europe or to the African island of Madagascar. A ‘territorial final solution’

6 Systematic mass murder
The Nazi leadership plans and orders mass murder: the genocide of Jewish people in the newly occupied lands of Serbia and the Soviet Union.

7 Holocaust The genocide of Jews in eastern Europe becomes global and total as the Nazis develop and carry out a plan to murder every Jewish person, everywhere they can reach them.
