1. Dear Parents,
It’s field trip time! On March 9th, the second grade class will be traveling to Sweetwater to visit The National WASP WWII Museum. This museum fits into our curriculum for Social Studies because we learn about historical figures who have exemplified good citizenship. The WASP- Women’s Air Service Pilots of WW II: ( ) - exemplified good citizenship by risking their lives and knowingly not receiving official military status.
*We will be leaving school about 9:00 a.m. and returning around 3:00p.m.
*We will eat lunch at Newman Park. This is located by the Nolan County Coliseum on Jack Hazzard Drive. The school will provide a sack lunch, but feel free to bring your own.
*We will then load up and head home.
*Please make sure students wear tennis shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.
Parents are welcome to follow or meet us there.
There is no cost but donations are excepted.
Please do not bring any siblings. Make this a special day for you and your 2nd grader.
