Baton Rouge Metropolitan Area flood damage risk reduction. Basically--12-mile diversion canal and guide levees Lots of Digging Control structure at the Comite River & Lilly Bayou Three (3) control drop structures Two (2) railroad bridges Five (5) highway or parish road bridges. Current Estimated Project Cost: $373M

6 EBR PROJECT DESCRIPTION
East Baton Rouge Parish project is intended to reduce flooding by improving 66 miles of channels in 5 sub-basins including: Jones Creek and tributaries (Designed to convey a 50-year event) Clearing and snagging 3 miles and structurally lining 16 miles with reinforced concrete Ward Creek and its tributaries (Designed to convey a year event) Clearing and snagging 14 miles of channel and concrete lining Bayou Fountain (Designed to convey a 10-year event) Clearing and widening 11 miles of channel Beaver Bayou (Designed to convey a 25-year event) Widening 8 miles of existing earthen channel and improvements to existing culverts and bridges Blackwater Bayou and its main tributary (Designed to convey a 10-year event) Widening 13 miles of existing earthen channel and improvements to existing culverts and bridges Current Estimated Project Cost: $255M

Three parishes hurricane and storm-damage risk reduction Recommended plan includes: 18 miles of Levees Construction Berms Construction Non-residential Structures Installation of One-Way Flap Gates Current Estimate Project Cost: $760M

9 GRAND ISLE FEDERAL DUNE DESCRIPTION & MAP
7-mile vegetated sand-filled dune barrier island Southeast Louisiana. Risk reduction for up to 50-year surge tropical events Constructing segmented breakwaters on the western Gulf-side of the island with potential for dredging/pump sand capability. Current Estimated Project Cost: $15M Caminada Bay N Caminada Pass LA HWY 1 Gulf of Mexico 7.1 Mile Federal Dune Site of proposed segmented breakwater and dredging/sand pumping

Carrollton Phase III MVN District Office is built into existing floodwall. Tie into existing floodwall & earthen levee enlargement. Increase protection for 1.9M residences. Complex project-between river and railroad Current Estimated Project Cost: $30M File Name
