Historical Significance Learning Gain: All learners will learn the meaning of genocide. What…? How…? Why…? Objectives: …are we learning this? …are we going to learn? …are we learning? To understand what Genocide is and how it has affected countries around the world Through discussion, a kinaesthetic activity and a written activity. Genocide destroys communities. Therefore it is important to understand how we can prevent Genocide by looking at the causes of it.

Watch the clip Then close your eyes and sit still. Reflect on what you have learnt today How would you feel if you were a Victim of a genocide? Whilst watching the clip - I’m going to play arms of an angel rather than the song that accompanies the clips – I prefer it, but your welcome to choose your own! After the clip, I would light a candle and allow the music to play (whilst their eyes are closed) without the images so students can reflect. I WILL REMBER YOU
